Janet A. Cook, PSA is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, the Connecticut Pastel Society, and an elected Resident Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club. Originally from Britain she now lives and works in America. Her work depicts both figures and landscapes in vibrant saturated color. In 2007 she participated in a four person exhibit at the Trenton City Museum, NJ and was featured on NBC's 'Dateline' program, the 'Da Vinci Code' in 2005. Her work has been featured in New York Times and reviewed in the Times in Trenton, and the Pastel Journal, which featured her city landscapes. She studied at the National Academy School of Art and the Art Students League in New York City, and with many renowned artists. Cook has won numerous accolades and prizes in both state and national competitions and her paintings are to be found in many collections including the Trenton City Museum, NJ, the Buckingham Hotel in New York City, as well as many private and corporate collections through out America and Europe.
