Janet A. Cook, PSA, is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, the Connecticut Pastel Society, and an elected Resident Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club. Originally from Britain she now lives and works in America. Her work depicts both figures and landscapes in vibrant saturated color. In 2007 she participated in a four person exhibit at the Trenton City Museum and was featured on NBC's 'Dateline' program, the 'Da Vinci Code' in 2005. In addition to this, her work has been reviewed in the Trenton Times and various arts magazines, including The Pastel Journal, which focused on her city landscapes. She has studied at the National Academy School of Art and the Art Students League in New York, and with many renounced artists throughout. Janet has won many accolades and prizes in both state and national competitions. Her paintings are to be found in many collections including the Trenton City Museum, NJ, and the Buckingham Hotel in New York as well as many private and corporate collections through out America and Europe.
